New Jersey Republican State Committee Chairman Jay Webber Recaps Trenton Democrats' Thursday Follies

After a busy and hotly contested day in the Statehouse yesterday during which the Democrats voted for more spending and higher taxes, Republican State Committee Chairman Jay Webber released the following statement:

“So let’s see, the Democrats in the State Legislature spent yesterday:

• Gleefully violating the State Constitution by ‘supplementing’ a budget bill that does not yet exist; and
  

• Callously breaking the rules of the Legislature to do it; and
  

• Eagerly attempting to spend money we don’t have; and
  

• Foolishly trying to increase taxes on the most over-taxed people in the country; but
  

• Finally running into a brick wall when Governor Christie vetoed their madness.
  

Sounds like just another banner day in the life of Trenton Democrats.”
